BNZ appoints Luis Selva as its new Managing Director

BNZ, an independent power producer (IPP) that develops, builds and operates renewables projects, has appointed Luis Selva as its new Managing Director. With this new hire, BNZ adds an outstanding and experienced director to lead a team focused on consolidating the company into a key player in the renewable energy sector in Europe, especially in the markets of Italy, Spain and Portugal, and contributing to the global energy transition.

Luis Selva has developed a successful career of almost two decades in the renewable energy sector. He has worked for more than 16 years at Ingeteam, managing services with different responsibilities and scope of work, O&M Solutions, after sales services, commissioning, retrofits, etc, for more than 17GW renewable assets across 22 countries. Since 2004, Luis Selva has participated actively in the amazing growth of the company and has stood out for his skills as a project and team director. He joins BNZ from QBI Solutions, where he held the role of CCO, providing asset management software to the renewable industry.

The executive joins the current BNZ team and will have among his responsibilities to reach and surpass the goal of 1.5 GW of European solar investments under development between Italy, Portugal and Spain by 2024. On the other hand, Luis Selva will have among its objectives to ensure the BNZ’s compliance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and to develop adequate social and environmental integration around the company’s projects.

The new Managing Director of BNZ, Luis Selva, said: “I am delighted to join this exciting project.
