The inauguration of the first photovoltaic plants of the BNZ portfolio in Cádiz, Spain, in the media
BNZ inaugurates its first solar plants in Spain, Alya and Alamak, located in the municipality of Alcalá de los Gazules, in the province of Cadiz (Andalusia). With a total capacity of 74 MW, these plants represent a significant step forward in the company’s portfolio in Spain, which is expected to reach approximately 600 MWp by 2026.
The announcement highlighted the project’s positive impact on the region; the plants will generate enough clean energy to meet almost 25% of the annual electricity needs of the city of Cádiz, avoiding the emission of 39,031 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Inmaculada Olivero, Cadiz’s Regional Councillor for the Economy, Finance and European Funds and for Industry, Energy and Mining, and Javier Pizarro, Mayor of Alcalá de los Gazules.
This event attracted the attention of more than 20 international, national and regional media, including Europa Press, El Economista, La Vanguardia, El Periódico de la Energía, PV Magazine, Onda Cero, Canal Sur and Staffetta Quotidiana. The media coverage highlighted the importance of this milestone for BNZ, as well as the project’s positive impact on the community and its contribution to sustainable development in the Andalusia region.
