Support communities
We not only aim to minimize environmental impact but also to stimulate local economies by generating new opportunities
At BNZ, we recognize the significance of managing social aspects in our direct operations. This encompasses health and safety, community development, educational development, stakeholder engagement, equality, diversity, and inclusion, human rights and ethical principles.
One of the distinguishing features of BNZ projects is our explicit pursuit of positive social outcomes in the local communities where we operate. We achieve this by supporting local community projects, participating in educational forums, and collaborating with institutions like universities to raise awareness about the importance of renewable energy and contribute to talent development in our sector. Our ultimate goal, beyond our investments, is to create social returns that benefit society.
Our deep engagement with local communities is unstoppable. Since our beginnings, we have participated in initiatives aimed at enhancing welfare and development, and leading by example in the renewable energy sector. By actively partnering with local organizations and non-profits, at BNZ we have advanced projects that not only enhance welfare and development of communities surrounding our operations but also foster a sense of shared progress and collaboration.
These initiatives underline our commitment to ensuring that our renewable energy projects deliver substantial social benefits, beyond mere economic contributions. Our educational engagement strategy also reinforces this perspective.
It is driven by our belief in the transformative impact of knowledge, underscoring the importance of education in fostering sustainable development and encouraging community involvement in environmental conservation.
BNZ promotes a pioneering educational project to raise awareness of the SDGs among 750 students in Murcia (Spain)
At BNZ, committed to sustainable development and education, we have taken our mission to generate positive impact in local communities to the next level. Through the innovative “mODStegg” project, we have partnered with five primary schools in Moratalla (Murcia), bringing interactive activities to classrooms to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Engaging 750 students, this gamified project not only teaches sustainability, equality, and well-being but also inspires the next generation to actively participate in global change.
BNZ backs its first social project in Portugal
We have joined the social project “Cuidar Maior” in Vila Nova de Famalicão, in northern Portugal, supported by PT2020. Through this project, we aim to support informal caregivers who look after family members with special needs such as dementia or Alzheimer’s, offering personalized interventions and psycho-educational support to prevent emotional burnout.
Additionally, “Cuidar Maior” focuses on improving caregivers’ quality of life through counseling, stress management strategies, and a mobile app that will assist in tracking their tasks.
