The inauguration of BNZ’s first photovoltaic plants in Italy, in the media

BNZ has inaugurated its first solar plants in Italy (Rinaldone, Camposcala and Mandrione), located near Viterbo and Montalto di Castro in the Lazio region. With a total capacity of 135 MWp, these plants represent a significant milestone in the company’s portfolio in Italy, which aims to reach a capacity of approximately 520 MW by 2026.

The announcement highlighted the company’s €150 million investment in the development of this project and its positive impact on the region. The electricity produced by these solar parks can cover almost 60% of the annual electricity needs of the municipalities of Montalto di Castro and Viterbo, avoiding the emission of 66,187 tonnes of CO2 per year. The inauguration was attended by Emanuele Aronne, Urban Advisor for the Municipality of Viterbo.

The event attracted the attention of 30 Italian and Spanish media, both general and economic, regional and sectoral, including relevant media outlets such as Staffetta Quotidiana, PV Magazine, Quotidiano Energía, L’Economia (print), Il Messaggero Viterbo (print) and El Economista. The media coverage highlighted the importance of this achievement for BNZ and its contribution to the sustainable development of the Latium region.
